All of his very close friends woke up early this morning to send Nicholas off for his flight to New York, departing at 10:50am. Clearly, everyone that was there will miss him very much, although some jokingly said that they wouldn’t be missing his voice.

Luckily, he did leave behind his voice - in our audio podcasts, and this episode will be his last in a few months, until he comes back from NY in January 2008.

This week we will be talking about yet another US Republican scandal (almost 1 in every week of 2007 thus far), this time dealing with US Senator for Idaho, Larry Craig, being accused of perfoming indecent acts in a public bathroom, allegedly cruising for sex, which was exposed by an officer on duty to what it appears to be a case of police entrapment, and finally announcing plans to quit from his post as a result. We also talked about how this issue may relate well in the Singapore context.

We also discuss some future plans for QueerCast, as we got a new member in the team: the fabulous Emeric Lau, in place of our loud and proud Nicholas Deroose. (We’re missing him already!!)

Don’t miss his last episode (in a while)!!

As many may have known, Nicholas is leaving for the US this coming Saturday to further his studies on Journalism, and will not be back until January. I just came back from the last recording he has done for QueerCast, and I could tell that he will be greatly missing Singapore, as well as everything he loves here. I’m sure he will be greatly missed by his friends, lovers and family too.

Here’s a present from Ian, whom will be coming back from Penang tomorrow. Enjoy:

If you love him, whether you are a friend, fan, or just a casual listener, come on down to the Changi Airport @ Terminal 2 this Saturday, 8 September 2007, 9am. The flight is at 10:50am. IF you are bringing a present for him, please bring something very small/compact but meaningful. Something he can bring with him on the plane, and not explode/overload his luggage.

If you can’t, leave a comment. He will be greatly missed.

Kisses,
Ian & Jasper

oc_logo.jpgOur 40th episode!

This week we have some nice people from Oogachaga, the counselling and personal development organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and questioning (”LGBTQ”) individuals in Singapore. They will be telling you guys about some new events organised by them, and how you can be part of it!

For more information, listen to the podcast and visit Oogachaga.com for more details!

Note: This recording is represented in a low quality mode, due to workarounds we did to the recording to overcome cracks and pops reproduced during recording. Sorry for any inconvenience, as we are still working on a standard setting for all of our recordings.
